Biography
After graduating from Purdue, Annjanette began attending
Valparaiso University where she earned her MA in Liberal Studies
(Human Behavior and Development) in 1998. She is in the process of
completing her second MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, in
hopes of starting her own private practice. In 1997, Annjanette used
her production skills at the Star Plaza Theatre for 5 years while at
the same time working at the Lake County Division of Family and
Children. From there she used her therapeutic skills as a behavioral
tech at a locked residential facility for adolescent girls, where
she was promoted to Residential Therapist. Annjanette then went on
to work as a Child Adolescent Psychiatric Therapist at an In-Patient
psych unit.
She worked briefly as an EMT in order to work in the ER at the same
time, also working for the Gary Fire Department. She most recently
worked in an Alternative Day Treatment Program with adolescent boys
and girls and is currently working for Catholic Family Services in
the East Chicago office (her hometown) as a therapist.
Annjanette currently lives in Valparaiso with her significant other
where they have a yoga business together named La Vida Yoga, LLC.
