Applying for an Internship
- Make an appointment with Professor Dakich, 116 D Porter Hall. Phone (219) 989-2630.
- The appointment should occur early in the advanced registration period for the subsequent semester.
- After discussion with the Coordinator, interviews will be scheduled with prospective business/industry contacts.
- When an internship has been identified and established, the requisite paperwork will be complete, and the student will enroll in COM 490 for the subsequent semester.

Internships may be repeated for credit, but with emphasis in different work areas.
Some sample internship partnerships include: NIPSCO, TCI Cable TV, The Jenny Jones Show, Radio WKQX-FM, The Radisson Star Plaza Theatre, The Lake County Visitors Bureau, St.Margaret Hospital, The Girls Scouts, American Express, Purdue University Calumet, and numerous consulting firms.
