Basic Information
Purdue University is a 501(C3) institution and is Indiana's land-grant public university, founded in 1879. The university president is Dr. Martin Jischke. The Calumet campus chancellor is Dr. Howard Cohen.
The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Calumet campus is the authorized agent for the submission of private foundation/corporate proposals. Co-signatures from our Sponsored Program Services will be provided if cost sharing or compliance issues are involved in the proposal. Purdue Calumet's primary mission is threefold: to provide its students with a liberal education which will prepare them for life or for the professions; to provide career-oriented curricula which lead to certificates, associate degrees, baccalaureate degrees and master's degrees; and to provide programs that meet the professional, cultural and general education needs of this large urban-industrialized community.
