development of faculty and teaching staff through web presence,
Faculty Club luncheons and various activities. Additionally, the
CIE is a venue to promote collegiality and engagement among faculty

teaching and learning.
Topic of the Month
Whether the world is flat as some globalization promoters suggest, or gated and jagged as some critics argue, we are witnesses and participants in an ever-changing, increasingly cross-cultural international world. How do faculty, students, and graduates prepare, adjust, and adapt?
Purdue University has a rich tradition of international programs, from faculty and student exchange, to study abroad, as well as a curriculum which addresses international issues and global knowledge.
In this extended roundtable/workshop, faculty will join Dr. Riall Nolan in a discussion about what is an "internationalized" university and why and how Purdue University Calumet can prepare for the possibility and challenge.
For further information or quesions please contact CIE Director,
