Students of Purdue University Calumet may host their personal web sites at the University.
You may use the software of your choice to create and publish your web pages.
FrontPage is available at a reduced cost to students in the Campus Bookstore.
It is also installed on all lab computers on Campus.
Once you have created your web pages, you may publish them by following these steps:
Double click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
Double click on the line of text with the (H:) at the end.
At the top of the window that appears, click on File then New and click on Folder.
Once the new folder appears, name it public_html.
Your web page can be viewed at :
http://student.calumet.purdue.edu/~username (replace the word username with your unique username).
Remember to save all web pages in the new folder you just created and name your main page index.htm,
index.html, home.htm, or home.html.
Student Organizations can also publish web sites, however, there is a slightly different procedure. Visit the Student Life & Activities - CCLD website at:
http://www.calumet.purdue.edu/ccld/life/ and click on the Student Organization Website Support link.
