Personal Network (H:) Drive
Every Student, Faculty, and Staff member with a Novell (computer) account has
space personally allocated to them on the network. This space appears in the
form of another drive, an H: drive. You can see this drive listed on the computer
by using My Computer or Windows Explorer. This drive space can be used to store personal files, coursework, or any
other type of file you wish to save. The advantages of using this storage
space for your files rather than floppy or zip disks include the following:
-
This drive is accessible by you and only you - PUC Computer login
required.
-
This drive is accessible from any computer on campus when you login
-
This drive is now accessible over the internet using you PUC Computer
login.
-
Data on the drive is backed up regularly so you don't have to worry about missing or corrupt
files
However, space on this drive is limited.
For example, students are allotted 50mb each.
Therefore, you should be cautious about the number of and the size of the files
you store on this drive.
