Strategic Planning System
Purpose Statement: The purpose of Administrative Services Strategic Planning System is
to ensure a consistent method for establishing our long-range goals and objectives.
Description: Administrative Services Strategic Planning System is a series of sequential
steps that results in closing the gap between our current state today and our future vision.
The starting point of the strategic planning system is an analysis of the current state and
establishment of the future vision. A gap analysis is conducted, vital few initiatives are
identified using the Decision Making system, and quality excellence initiatives are
established. From there a deployment strategy is determined and division goals, objectives
and measures are established. Once these goals and objectives are determined, the
Human Resources Plan should be developed to ensure we have the resources available to
achieve the goals and objectives. Finally, the plan is implemented, monitored, and
improved.
