Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Engineers are responsible for the design, development and manufacturing of virtually every product found in the home and in industry today. An engineer uses his scientific knowledge to solve practical problems affecting society. Electrical Engineers design solutions for a host of systems that control, monitor or energize industrial equipment, household products and the transportation systems. Computer Engineers work to develop computer hardware and software, computer networks, added digital signal processors, micro-controllers and application specific integrated circuits that are necessary for machines to function.

Our nationally ranked, fully accredited programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering train students to become professional engineers in such fields as Microelectronics, Electrical Energy Production, Computer Design, Military Equipment and Software Design, Wireless Communication, and Biomedical Instrument Development.
