Chandra R. Sekhar is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology.

A certified clinical engineer, he has served as the Acting Chairman of the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at Chicago's Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center since 1984. Previously, he spent 11 years as the Director of Biomedical Engineering for the hospital's Department of Medical Physics. He taught at Purdue University Calumet in the sixties and has been a visiting lecturer since 1973.

Professor Sekhar earned a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from the University of Madras (India), a diploma in instrumentation from Madras Institute of Technology and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Professor Sekhar's primary teaching and research focus is in the areas of biomedical and process control instrumentation and clinical engineering.
