Q: It is Blackboard or Vista?
A: The company that makes the software
is called Blackboard and one of their products is Vista. So you
will see it referred to as Blackboard Vista or just Vista.
Q: How is Vista accessed?

Q: How do I get my Vista username
and password?
A: You can go into PC Star and click on
Vista/PC Login Link. You can print your schedule of classes and your
username will be printed on it. Your password is your birthday in the format
mmddyy (ex. Birthday Jan. 15, 1979, password 011579)
Q: How do I change my Vista
password?
A: You can change your Vista password
from the My eCourses page. At the top right corner you will
see a link that says change password. It will ask you for the
old one and a mew password. It will then log you out, you will
need to select Calumet Academic Campus and log back in, using the
new password.
Q: What if I forget my password?
A: If you forget your Vista password
you can visit the Customer Service & Support Center (Gyte 133) to
have your password reset. You will need to have a picture ID
with you.
Q: When is Vista unavailable for
scheduled maintenance?
A: Vista is unavailable the first and
third Sunday or each month from 6:00am-10:00am. A reminder
will be put into the Campus Announcements in Vista.
Q: I can't attach a file to my
assignment?
A: You do not have java installed on
your machine, go to the Java link to learn how to check for Java,
uninstall and old version, and install a current version of Java.
