Educator Licensing at Purdue Calumet
The School of Education at Purdue University Calumet aims to provide
friendly, knowledgeable and expedient services to all individuals who
request assistance and information about teacher education. Our Licensing
officers and the Dean's office supports accreditation activities by assisting
prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and P-12
educators with teacher preparation, licensure and continuing education
needs.
Our office processes students' applications for all teacher education
programs, including initial and renewal licensing. As a student,
please be aware that admission to the Purdue University Teacher Education
Programs is a separate and distinct step beyond admission to the University
and that the standards for admission to, and retention in, teacher preparation
programs are higher than those required to remain in good standing within
the University. Our office also provides explanation and interpretation
of teacher licensing requirements. Students who have completed teacher
education programs are evaluated and recommended for licenses. This office
maintains licensing records and provides accreditation support.
