Bin Wu, our ETIE student majored in Mechanical Engineering, was a winner for two research competitions. The Student Research Office at Purdue University Calumet hosted the PUC Student Research Day to recognize the research achievements by PUC students. Bin Wu and his teammate’s project became one of the ten awarded projects that were chosen from the six academic divisions at PU. Bin received $300. Out of this award, six PUC undergraduate students together with other six graduate students were selected to compete at a Purdue University system-wide in the wide range of academic programs offered at the five campuses of Purdue University. Cash prizes of $500 for first place and $300 for runner-up, were awarded for the best presentations in the competition. Congratulation to Bin Wu. His presentation was placed the first in the Engineering division. His project is “Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis of a Temperature Field in a Batch Reheating Furnace.
