Purpose:
With nearly 2,000 students and a number of faculty as members, the Total Fitness and Wellness Centers are one of the most utilized, most popular and well-respected resources on this campus. Erector Spinae Universitas, or ESU, have chartered this club to inform, teach, motivate, and proclaim the benefits of both physical fitness, as well as a total wellness philosophy to the remainder of the Purdue Calumet Family.
Requirements:
We welcome all who want to improve their general health, participate in community outreach programs, socialize with fellow students, develop skills that aid in becoming a fitness professional, or help build their teamwork and leadership skills. If you are interested in becoming a member, please print and fill out the attached membership form and bring it to either the Total Fitness Center or Wellness Office located in the Physical Education and Recreation Building. If you have any further questions, please contact the Total Fitness Center at 989-2175.
Activities and Programs:
We will sponsor all health, fitness and wellness activities. These include screenings, drives, assessments, The Fall Frolic Sports Run, Mini-Corporate Challenge, ESU Volleyball Tournament, plus functional help for those individuals who want to attain a degree, certification, or instruction in the fitness/wellness industry. We will also provide members information regarding all of the fitness/wellness professional organizations open to membership.
