Professor of Management Information Systems
Kuan-Chou Chen joined the School of Management faculty in the summer of 2003. Kuan
previously taught in the Department of Computer Information Systems and Information
Technology. Kuan holds two doctoral degrees in Applied Economics and Tourism Information
Systems from Michigan State University as well as a MBA degree in Management Sciences
from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan.
He specialized in computer programming, project management, system analysis and
design, e-business strategy and application, network design and security, knowledge
management, and information economy. He has published numerous articles in information
technology, instructional design, and tourism and hospitality management. He is
an active participant in several professional journals and serves on four paper
reviewer boards. He has taught at several universities: Lansing Community College,
Purdue University West Lafayette, Bowling Green State University, IVY Tech State
College, and Davenport University.
