Associate Professor of Management Information Systems
Denise Woods joined the School of Management faculty in the fall of 2001 to start
a new Management Information Systems (MIS) major. The major includes courses in
Systems Analysis & Design, Database, E-business strategy, and Knowledge Management.
Denise previously taught in the School of Technology on both the Purdue Calumet
and Purdue West Lafayette campuses. Denise has a B.S. from Ball State University,
an M.B.A. from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University. Prior to
beginning her career in higher education, she worked in industry for 18 years as
a manager of application software and Web development. Denise was named the Outstanding
Teacher of the Year for the 2000-2001 academic year.
