The next two meetings of the Library Advisory Committee are scheduled for November and December:

Nov. 20, 2001 at 12:30 – 2:00 PM, SFLC Room 150F (Calumet Room)

Agenda: an environmental scan, including curriculum and curriculum changes, distance learning, new formats and technologies, pertaining to information access

Dec. 7, 2001 at 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, SFLC Room 150F (Calumet Room)

Agenda: information access implications of the Strategic Plan for Purdue University Calumet

With the campus context firmly in mind, we will be positioned well to deal with periodicals renewals, allocation of funds, and other specific issues to be addressed at future meetings.

Enclosed here are the handouts distributed at the two orientation sessions in October for those of you who were unable to participate. In addition, the tables comparing Library staffing to comparable institutions and a review of the former allocation formula are enclosed for each member of the committee.

Thanks again for your interest in information access and your willingness to devote time to advising the Library on this important resource for study and scholarship.
