Bill Wellman to share insights at PUC Platinum Speakers event Thursday (11/29)
Communicator, marketer, promoter, salesman and author W.F. “Bill” Wellman will share his professional insights Thursday (11/29) at 6 p.m. at The Calumet Conference Center at Purdue University Calumet.
His presentation, “Growth Without Acquisition—Sales Can Make It Happen,” is part of the Purdue Alumni Association-Calumet Platinum Speakers Series. An hors d’oeuvres/networking reception follows at 7 p.m.
Wellman, senior vice president of communications for Whiteco Industries Inc., offers a diverse career filled with accomplishments ranging from restaurateur to theater producer to saloon operator to babysitter to the stars. He also has helped build hotels, theaters and kid-friendly pizza parlors and helped introduce Orville Redenbacher’s popping corn to the world.
His recently published book, “It’s Made to Sell—Not to Drink,” offers perspectives that have contributed to his reputation as a salesman extraordinaire.
