PUC is certified American Society for Quality (ASQ) site
Purdue University Calumet has become a certified site for American Society for Quality (ASQ) examinations, and six Purdue University Calumet students recently passed certification exams.
Those passing the exams were; Annaji Ammu of Hammond (Certified Quality Improvement Associate), Matthew Wirtz of Crown Point (Certified Quality Improvement Associate), Erica Lige of Gary (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt), Paul Waltz of Bridgewater, Mass. (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt), Jennifer Welch of Hobart (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt) and Richard Szromba of Munster (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt).
ASQ offers nationally recognized certification exams that emphasize proficiency in principles and practices of quality control among professionals in manufacturing, healthcare, education, government and service.
April 4 is the application deadline for ASQ certification testing available June 7. Exams being offered are: Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Software Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Improvement Associate, Certified Calibration Technician, Certified Quality Process Analyst and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
