Immigration to be discussed April 1
Immigration will be the focus of Purdue University Calumet’s next Platinum Speakers program, Tuesday, April 1 at 6 p.m. on campus at The Calumet Conference Center.
John Clark, senior fellow with the Sangamore Institute for Policy Research in Indianapolis, will discuss “The Economic Effects of Immigration”. Clark has written extensively on the topic. The Sangamore Institute performs research and analysis and develops innovative and collaborative approaches to issues of public significance.
Additionally, Jennifer Nagda, staff attorney for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund of Chicago, will discuss immigration-related proposed legislation.
Refreshments will be served at the event, hosted by the Purdue Alumni Association-Calumet. While admission is free, pre-registration is requested.
