Adults can partake of Challenger Learning Center simulated space flight, 10/30
All the fun school age children have enjoyed participating in a simulated space flight mission is being made available to adults.
The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana, housed at Purdue Calumet, is offering one of its unique, simulated space missions to the public, Thursday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. Individuals 18 and older are invited to participate in the two and one-half-hour mission, “Return to the Moon,”
Cost is $30, and required reservations can be made by contacting Jan Olesek at 989-3250 or olesek@clcnwi.com.
Through a simulated, space flight, hands-on learning environment, the Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana advances science and mathematics education, as well as critical thinking and decision-making skills, primarily for elementary and middle school students throughout the Chicagoland area.
Participants work together to “fly” missions successfully, using an international network of high technology and hands-on space flight simulators.
