Register to attend Great Lakes water quality issues conference Thursday (10/23)
A conference focusing on Great Lakes water quality issues, led by an environmental senior scientist will be held at Purdue University Calumet’s Calumet Conference Center, Thursday (10/23) at 1:30 p.m.
Ashok Gadgil, senior scientist and deputy director in the Environmental Energy Technologies Division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and an adjunct professor within the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California (Berkeley), will be the primary speaker.
Gadgil, who offers expertise in technical, economic and policy research relating to energy efficiency, will address the topic, “Global Water Solutions through Technology.”
The conference is intended for anyone interested in learning more about water resources and management, as well as general technology development and implementation to solve global problems, particularly via low-cost solutions.
Gadgil has received several awards, including the Pew Fellowship in Conservation, for his work in accelerating energy efficiency in developing countries.
