‘View Purdue Calumet’ open house in south Lake County (11/13)
Prospective students, parents and others can learn more about Purdue University Calumet academic opportunities in south Lake County, Thursday, Nov 13 at 5 p.m.
The View Purdue Calumet open house will be held at the University’s Academic Learning Center, located near the Merrillville/Crown Point border off Broadway Avenue. The Academic Learning Center offers primarily freshman and sophomore level Purdue Calumet classes, as well as several Indiana University Northwest offerings.
“The Academic Learning Center is Purdue Calumet’s outreach arm in south Lake County, located to offer a convenient start to a Purdue degree program for students who live and work in that area plus those in Porter, Newton and Jasper counties,” ALC Director Dorothy Briestansky said.
During the Nov. 13 program, attendees will be able to talk with academic advisors and representatives from financial aid, admissions and career services.
The Academic Learning Center is located two miles south of U.S. Highway 30, just east of Broadway Avenue and north of 101st Street.
