Purdue Calumet information program in Tinley Park Thursday, 11/13
High school students, parents and other college-bound individuals are invited to an information program to learn more about obtaining a Purdue University education at Purdue University Calumet in nearby Hammond, Ind.
The program is scheduled Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 pm at the Tinley Park Holiday Inn Convention Center, 18501 Harlem Ave., south of 183rd Street.
Those who attend ‘View Purdue Calumet’ will have an opportunity to meet with Purdue Calumet admissions representatives and faculty. Attendees also can learn about the university’s 100+ undergraduate and graduate degree programs, scholarships and other financial aid options, career services, student activities, campus housing and Purdue Calumet’s distinctive experiential learning approach that integrates traditional classroom learning with applied learning in a work-related environment.
Part of the Purdue University system, Purdue Calumet has an enrollment of more than 9,300 students including nearly 800 from Illinois communities. Purdue Calumet graduates earn the same Purdue degree awarded at Purdue’s Big Ten campus in West Lafayette, Ind.
Purdue Calumet’s Hammond campus is located 19 miles from the Tinley Park Holiday Inn, three miles east of the Illinois/Indiana state line, 25 miles southeast of downtown Chicago and less than 45 miles from Naperville. Its 16-building, neighborhood campus is easily accessible from Interstate 80/94.
