‘Israel’s Right to Exist’ is focus of PUC-hosted program Dec. 3
A program focusing on Israel and its right to exist will be held at Purdue University Calumet, Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Social, political and news media commentator Micah Halpern will lead the program titled, “Israel’s Right to Exist: A Discussion of Anti-Semitism, Terrorism, and the Rights of Nations and Peoples,” beginning at 6 p.m. in the university’s Calumet Conference Center.
Halpern, a specialist on terrorism, is a frequent commentator for CBS, ABC, FOX and MSNBC television networks. He also has written columns for America Online about the Middle East, foreign affairs and terrorism.
Kosher desserts will be served.
The program is sponsored by Purdue Calumet’s Chancellor’s Office and the Dept. of History and Political Science, as well as the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana.
The Calumet Conference Center is located at the far south end of campus—one-third mile north of Interstate 80/94, three blocks east of Indianapolis Boulevard, north of the traffic light on 173rd Street just east of Woodmar Avenue.
