Curriculum Plans

Curriculum Plan Options

Students may choose to pursue their program on either a full-time or part-time basis.  The decision to pursue the program on a full-time or part-time basis is fluid in that students may switch from full-time to part-time status and vice versa with no penalty.

Full-Time Study
The full-time curriculum plan takes two years to complete and begins with the fall semester and ends at the end of a summer session.  For students that opt to follow the full-time curriculum plan, we strongly advise students not to work full-time.  Sample full time curriculum plans for the CNS, FNP or Nursing Administration areas of specialization can be found in Tables 1, 2, and 3.  Students may use these curriculum plans to document the courses they have taken.

Part-Time Study
Many students opt to pursue their education on a part-time basis, taking one to two classes a semester.  There is no time limit for completing the program, although most part-time students can finish in three to four years.  Students pursuing their program on a part-time basis must talk about their curriculum plan with their academic advisor in order to be certain they are taking courses in teh correct sequence.  Part-time students may also use the curriculum plans in Tables 1, 2 and 3 to document their progress through the curriculum.
