INTERACTIONS AMONG TEACHERS AND CHILDREN
return to faq topics
Will the teachers have time for my child?
Yes! Teachers speak with all the children frequently. Purdue Riley teachers are available and responsive to all children. We have very low child:staff ratios. Our ratio is usually 1:8 or 1:6. Teachers provide each child individual attention while balancing the group needs of children in their care. Each teacher has a specific responsibility to get to know and to "bond" with the children in their group. Our teachers take time to develop a relationship with each child and family.
Will the teachers like my child?
Yes! Visit Purdue Riley and watch how teachers and staff interact with your child and other children. Good teachers are the foundation of our child center. Our teachers are well trained and experienced in child care. Our support staff have or are working toward a college degree. We want to create a warm, caring relationship with you and your child. Children's needs and interests are of vital importance to our entire staff. Teachers are never short on affection and respect. Our teachers are responsive, attentive and they are actively involved with your child.
