THE DAILY ROUTINE

return to faq topics

My child never takes a nap. Will this be a problem?

Generally, no. Children are involved in the transition to nap time from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. (toileting, washing hands, and gathering nap time belongings). Nap time takes place from 12:30 p.m. to approximately 2:15 p.m. Each child is offered a nap time cot. Children who do not fall asleep within the first 30 minutes or so of nap time are offered quiet time activities in another area of the room. Please speak to the teacher or director if you have any specific concerns or questions. Children in the kindergarten classroom do not nap.
