Accessing your organization website
If you have
not filled out and submitted the
Website Authoring Request form, you will not be able to access your
site.
There are seven
simple steps to follow in order for you to access and edit your
organization’s website.
1.) Open
Microsoft Front Page. (This can be found on almost any computer on campus,
it is part of the Microsoft Office Package. If you do not have it at home,
you may purchase Front Page in the bookstore for only 10 dollars.)
2.) Click FILE then OPEN SITE. |
 |
|
3.)
Type
the following into the site name drop box:
https://life.calumet.purdue.edu/ followed by your unique
organization username. For example,we are
https://life.calumet.purdue.edu/sga for their website. ***
The ‘s’ is required in ‘https’ to edit your site. It is not required
to view it through a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or
Mozilla Firefox. ***
4.) Click Open. |
 |
5.) A security alert will
pop up and ask you if you would like to continue. Click YES. |
 |
6.) After that, it will
ask you for your user name. Your username is your Purdue Calumet
email address handle with fp3\ in front of it. So if your
email is smithj1@calumet.purdue.edu, then your username will be
fp3\smithj1. Your password was provided to you after your
Website Authoring Request form has been properly processed this
process will be used when logging in on and off campus. |
 |
7.) From here you will see
a folder list with all the pages in your site. Just double click the
page you wish to edit and you are now ready to edit your site! |
