The Educational
Opportunity Programs provide educational access and
opportunity for low-income, first generation college, and
students from underrepresented disciplines in graduate
study.
Participants from sixth (6th) grade through graduate
school benefit from a nationwide educational opportunity
program network that provides services such as tutoring,
career and personal counseling, supplemental instruction,
graduate and undergraduate school visitations, and cultural
awareness field experiences.
Also found within the Educational Opportunity Programs
are Services for Student with Disabilities, the 21st Century
Scholars Program, and the National Science Foundation
Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship
Program. Together, these programs comprise the "TRIO"
Education Opportunity Programs funded by the
U.S.
Department of Education at Purdue University Calumet.
Our programs are proud members of the
Council for
Opportunity in Education (COE),
Mid-America Association of
Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP) and the Indiana
Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program
Personnel (I-MAEOPP). |
