You may submit up to one piece of writing per week online. Writing is limited to 12 pages typed and double-spaced, or about 4,000 words.
Once you have submitted your writing online, you will receive a response by e-mail within 2 weekdays. We are unable to respond on weekends, so you must submit your paper by noon on Thursday in order to receive a response on Monday. Your response will be a paragraph or two from the writing consultant. We will not provide line-by-line corrections, but rather feedback based on your questions.
If you have read and understand the information above, you may submit your writing to us for an e-tutorial by doing the following:
E-mail your paper to writingcenter@calumet.purdue.edu with “Online Tutorial” as the subject and the following information in the message box:
- First and Last Name
- Status (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, faculty, staff)
- Major
- Instructor
- Do you want a copy of the session details form sent to your instructor?
- Course and course number for which you are requesting a tutorial
- Describe your assignment
- Ask 2-3 specific questions about your writing
- Copy and paste your paper after indicating the above
